Audi A4 key replacement starts with identifying the car, not treating every A4 as the same booking. The generations overlap the wider Audi system change around 2018, so a model description without the registration can leave an important question unanswered.
B6 and B7
These earlier A4s cover approximately 2001–2008. We can carry out key work at the car, including when every key has been lost. Tell us whether you need a replacement for a missing key or an additional key alongside one that still works.
B8 and B9
B8 covers roughly 2008–2015, while B9 runs from around 2015–2024. Both are listed with BCM2, with mobile all-keys-lost work available on supported cars. Late B9 eligibility must be checked: the newest Audi system is spare-only, and all-keys-lost cases require the dealer. Our Audi manufacturer page sets out that wider limit.
What If There Is No Working A4 Key?
A lost A4 key enquiry should make clear whether it was your last one. For supported earlier cars, including eligible BCM2 versions, we can make keys where the vehicle is parked. Homes, workplaces, roadsides and car parks all fall within our lost car key service: we travel to the parked A4, leaving it in place for the work.

Losing the final key on a newer-system A4 changes the route to replacement: we will state plainly when dealer assistance is required.
