Berlingo Ignitions: The Citroën Call We Get Most

C1 Keys: Shared With Two Other Cars
The Citroën C1 was built in the same factory as the Peugeot 107 and the earlier Toyota Aygo, and all three use the same key system. Adding a Citroën spare key to a C1 is quick. With every key lost, though, the instrument cluster has to be removed to reach the immobiliser data, which adds time to the job. If your C1 has only one key, that's a good reason to get a Citroën spare key now, while the job is still quick. The same applies to the C3 and C4, where a second key costs far less than replacing a lost one.

Before We Program A Citroën Key
Citroën key programming relies on three things being right, and getting any of them wrong means a key that won't work:
The correct chip. Later Citroëns, now part of the Stellantis group, need the transponder type that matches the car. The wrong chip simply won't program, which is why online keys often fail.
A security PIN. This usually has to be bought from the manufacturer against the car's ownership details, so please have the V5C and ID ready when you book.
A steady power supply. The vehicle's battery is supported throughout, because a dip during programming can damage the electronics.
