Why Does My Jaguar XF Say Key Not Detected?
A Jaguar XF key not detected message should not automatically lead to ordering another key. On first-generation X250 cars, a flat battery can corrupt the body control module. Where that has happened, the required remedy is a dealer-level software reset; a new key will not fix the underlying problem.

Two Generations, Different Details

X250: around 2008–2015
