What The Customer Needed
The owner of this Land Rover Discovery in Burley had one working key and wanted a dependable spare before that single key became a more urgent problem.
Starting with the working key
We checked the existing Land Rover Discovery key at the vehicle, including its physical and electronic functions. That gave us a reliable reference for selecting compatible hardware and preserving the working key throughout the job.
Producing the additional key
A second key was prepared beside the Land Rover Discovery, with the blade cut where the design required one and the transponder or smart-key function enrolled to the car. The original remained available for comparison during programming.
Checking both keys
Both Land Rover Discovery keys were tested independently for the functions supported by this system. The owner left the Burley appointment with the original key and a fully checked backup.
